Bronze Medallion & surf Rescue Certificate

Education & TrainingThis course provide participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver at Narrabeen or anywhere else in Australia.

You will learn surf skills, resuscitation techniques, basic first aid, rescue techniques and much more. The course is typically run over a six/eight week period with mid-week theory and weekend practical application

Apply (Senior) First Aid

The purpose of this course is to help you to gain the knowledge and skills to deliver emergency care and deal with injuries at an incident scene. You will also develop knowledge and skills to enable you to demonstrate competence in the nationally recognised unit(s) of competency.

This course is typically delivered via a pre-course online workbook and one weekend day workshop.

 

Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Certificate

The aim of the Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Certificate course is to develop your skills and knowledge to use oxygen, airway management devices, and automated external defibrillators during resuscitation, and to administer oxygen to conscious or unconscious breathing casualties.

You will also develop knowledge and skills to enable you to demonstrate competence in the nationally recognised units of competency.

This course is typically run over a number weeks.

 

IRB Driver / Crew

IRB Crew

Want fast access in the water? Learn to crew the Inflatable Rescue Boats through the surf and carry out some quick rescues. This course is typically run over a number weeks with training sessions on weekends, as well as some weeknight theory sessions.

IRB Driver

This advanced course is one of the most demanding in Surf Lifesaving. You will be taught how to negotiate a high profile rescue craft through the surf to complete advanced rescues. This is a two month course with training sessions on weekends, as well as some weeknight theory sessions.
